Setting building limitations only on Jewish settlements is a form of racism reminiscent of the dark eras in Jewish history, says The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel. And for a country established in response to racial discrimination, it is completely unacceptable, immoral and illegal.

Nachi Eyal, chairman of The Legal Forum, states that imposing a settlement freeze is a mortal blow to the basic rights of Jews living in Judea and Samaria, including their property rights as well as their rights to human dignity and liberty as outlined in the Basic Laws of the State of Israel.

The unilateral disengagement which brought Hamas into Gaza, and set in motion the chain of events that led to the Second Lebanon War and the kidnapping of IDF soldiers, was also approved by the Knesset on the grounds that it would improve the social, political, security and economical situation. Today all Israelis are suffering from the disastrous results of the decision and its impact on every facet of Israeli life.
